Business Update Cork City

Featured on Cork 96FM Radio

It was an absolute privilege to join PJ Coogan on Cork's 96FM Opinion Line recently to discuss how hypno-psychotherapy can help individuals break free from panic loops. Having the opportunity to share insights on how professional therapy can help individuals manage anxieties and phobias in Ireland was very engaging, I hope it came accross. During our conversation, we explored practical ways to address panic and the patterns of behaviour that keep people stuck. It is always a pleasure to demystify hypnosis and explain how a structured, professional approach can help restore calm and confidence. For those who missed the live broadcast or wish to listen again, the full episode is available to stream on the podcast: The Opinion Line with PJ Coogan. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to PJ Coogan, Alan Grant and the entire team at Cork's 96FM for their warm welcome and for providing a space to discuss these essential mental health topics. If you are curious about how these therapeutic sessions are organised, you can read more about what to expect in your first session.

This Week in Cork City: The Communities That Make the City

Cork City is often described as Ireland’s second city, but its real strength lies much closer to home. From Mayfield to Ballincollig, Douglas to Blackpool, Sunday’s Well to Togher, Cork is made up of hundreds of communities, clubs, schools, businesses and volunteers who quietly keep local life moving. This week, take a moment to look around your own area. Perhaps there is a local café you have never visited, a community group looking for volunteers, a sports club preparing for a new season, or a school celebrating the achievements of its students. These are the stories that often matter most because they happen close to home. At My-Village, our goal is simple: help people discover what is happening in their own communities and make it easier for neighbours, businesses, schools and organisations to stay connected. If your group, school, club or business has something worth sharing, we would love to hear about it. Because strong communities are built through participation, and every village, neighbourhood and borough has a story worth telling. What is happening in your community this week?

What To Do When Someone Dies at Home (Cork Guide)

When a death occurs at home, it can feel overwhelming, especially if it is unexpected. Knowing what to do can help bring a sense of calm during a very difficult time. If the death was expected: You should contact the family GP or out-of-hours doctor. The doctor will attend and confirm the death. Once this has been done, you can contact a funeral director to begin arrangements. If the death was unexpected: You should contact emergency services by dialling 999 or 112. The Gardaí and a doctor will attend. In some cases, the Coroner may become involved. Once the death has been confirmed, we can guide you through the next steps, including bringing your loved one into our care and helping you begin funeral arrangements. At Keohane’s, we are available to support families at any time, day or night, to gently guide you through what happens next.
