Mayfield CDP
Mayfield Community Development Project: adult learning, a public Resource Office, the Mayfield Matters newsletter and a community garden on the Old Youghal Road since 1990.
About
Mayfield Integrated Community Development Project (Mayfield CDP) was established in 1990 and is based at 328 Old Youghal Road, Mayfield.
Mayfield CDP responds to local needs by offering support, education, training and development opportunities to individuals and groups. It works in an inclusive way to help people reach their potential in a safe, open, friendly and accessible environment.
Its work includes the Mayfield Community Adult Learning Project (CALP), a Resource Office open to the public, the Mayfield Matters community newsletter and a community garden with a poly-tunnel. The project also provides meeting, training and consultation spaces used for family support, peer support and other community groups.
Mayfield CDP takes part in the Mayfield Learning Neighbourhood and the Cork Learning Neighbourhood initiative. It is funded under the Community Services Programme (Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, managed by Pobal), and Mayfield CALP is funded by Cork Education and Training Board.
